Aberdeen Falls

Aberdeen Falls ❤

Aberdeen Falls is a 98 meter high (322 ft) waterfall at Kehelgamu Oya near Ginigathena, Nuwara Eliya Province in Sri Lanka. Aberdeen is called Aberdeen, the third largest city in Scotland and the capital of Aberdeenshire. Kehelgam Oya is a major tributary of the Kelani River. To reach Aberdeen Falls from the town of Ginigathena, one has to continue on the Ambatale road up to the Buddha statue at the end of the road. Then one has to park his car and walk about 1.2 miles on the road. Bathing between the pool and swimming in the middle causes the death of swimmers. The falls are covered with a huge mound of rocks in the background. The waterfall is considered to be the 18th highest on the island.
