The Sinharaja rainforest is one of the most important forests in Sri Lanka. It is about 9000 hectares wide. More than 60% of the species are found only in the Sinharaja rainforest. Many plants are very rare. The rainforest is the largest forest in Sri Lanka. In 1989 UNESCO included this forest in the list of world heritage sites, such as the National Heritage of Sri Lanka. There are many rare animals, birds, butterflies, insects, reptiles and trees. These are the things that are most precious to people. Sinharaja offers animal shelter. And Sinharaja has beautiful waterfalls, hills, hills, flowers and rocks. Readers have recorded 147 species of birds in sinharaja.Average height of trees in sinharaja veries between 35 to 40 meters. Some trees are over 50 feet [50 m] high. The Indian rainforest is an important source of human life. So we must protect this as our eyes.
